The swami Vivekananda scholarship is open to students enrolled in 11th and 12th classes as well as postgraduate, undergraduate, and Mphill. To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must be a resident of West Bengal, and he should have secured at least 60% marks in the board Examination. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

To be considered for the svmcm scholarship, the applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Annual Income:

The annual household income of the student applying for this scholarship should be less than 250,000.

Domicile:

The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

Higher Secondary:

The minimum qualifying marks to be considered for this scholarship is 75% in Madhyamik Pariksha.

Diploma Courses:

To qualify for a first-year diploma, the candidate must secure 75% marks in the (MP) examination. For Entry to the second year, the applicant must have passed the H.S. equivalent examination or ITI 2 years, and the marks should be a minimum of 60% in aggregate in the qualifying examination. The courses must be approved by AICTE|PCI|CoA and affiliated with WBSCT & VE & SD.

Under Graduates:

The candidate must have qualified higher secondary or equivalent with 75% marks.

Post Graduation:

The student must secure 53% in honors subjects at graduation level in general education and 55% marks in engineering subjects. If the student holds a valid Kanyashree recipients (K-2)ID, is pursuing a postgraduate course in Arts, Science, or Commerce, and secured 45% in aggregate is eligible.

M.Phill/NET Researchers:

The students enrolled in M Phill, Ph.D. programs from state-funded universities can also apply.

Steps to Register for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

The registration of svmcm scholarship is mentioned below:

  • Firstly go to the official website https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/

  • Click on registration on top right corner as shown in picture above.
  • Another screen will be displayed with five options.

  • Select according to the college/university you are studying in and click on Apply for fresh application.
  • Another screen will be displayed where you must fill in details like college/exam name, Roll number, qualifying marks, etc.
  • After you enter all the details like phone, Email, etc., the last option will be to create a password.
  • Enter the user name and password in the section.
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP , and your registration will be completed.

  • After successful registration, click on login applicant and enter the applicant ID (The username and password you created).
  • Enter your personal details like Name, Father Name, City, District etc.
  • Enter your Bank Details and enter your family annual income in the section.
  • Submit all the required documents like your scanned picture, Mark sheet, Domicile, Income certificate and others.
  • Make sure the size of all the uploaded documents should be less than 400KB.
  • Click save and continue, again check all the details again. Ensure that the details are accurate. Double-check all information before submission as any mistakes will lead to immediate rejection.

Swami Vivekananda scholarship Renewal Process

The candidate has to apply for svmcm renewal every year to receive the scholarship benefits. Only those students who perform well in the current year are eligible for the scholarship renewal. Here are some crucial points to keep in mind before applying for renewal:

  • The student should secure at least 60% marks in higher secondary or UG level.
  • The criteria for post-graduate students is 50%.
  • For higher secondary students, the Marksheet of the previous class is required, i.e., 12th-class students must submit the 11th Marksheet.
  • For the UG students, the first and second-semester Mark Sheet is required for 2nd year renewal; and for the third year renewal, the third and fourth-semester Mark sheet is compulsory.
  • For PG students, first and second-semester Mark Sheet is compulsory for svmcm renewal.

To be considered for svmcm scholarship the student must submit these documents mentioned below:

  • Mark Sheet of Madhyamik Pariksha Exam
  • Income Certificate
  • Admission Receipt for the proof that student has been studying here.
  • Student Bank Passbook since the payment will be transferred in candidates bank account so the picture of first page must be uploaded including details like IFS code and account number.
  • Aadhar card or any other government ID
  • Email ID and phone Number
  • Passport size Photo
